Manny got his wish...he's gone. Craig Hansen, Brandon Moss, Manny and unspecified loot to bring Jason Bay into the Sox fold. Bay has a couple of 30 home run, 100 RBI seasons under his belt with the Pirates, and is on pace to do that again this season after a down 2007 season.

Bay isn't Manny in his prime, but then again neither was a 36-year-old Manny. It's a bold move by the Sox front office, but it's something that had to be done in a pretty untenable situation. Manny had become a festering problem, Hansen needed a change of scenery in the biggest way possible, and Brandon Moss wasn't going to ever crack the Sox starting lineup.
