I am proud to say I actually covered the actual game when professional hockey became relevant again in Boston. An amazing third period that really should be required viewing for anyone that thinks hockey is either boring or dead -- or perhaps even both. The TD Banknorth Garden was the loudest I've ever heard it, and there were times when the place felt like it was rocking.
Will be traveling up to Montreal via l'automobile with 890 ESPN's Mike Salk on Monday morning, and will be looking forward to giving a travel log of sorts of our journey back and forth to the Bell Centre. Should be good.
Anyway, loved B's defenseman Aaron Ward's response when asked how this particular ragtag Bruins unit was able to come back from a 3-1 deficit. Here it is, without making any obvious jokes about plumbers:
"We’re a bunch of guys and if you look around the locker room, you have the Chara’s and you have a number of guys that obviously have some notoriety attached to their names. But, there are a lot of plumbers in this locker room as well. There has to be a role fulfilled in every locker room and the fact that our plumbers are plumbing than as long as they keep doing it or we keep doing it because I will include myself in that category than hopefully we achieve some level of success."

I'm hoping to have a transcript of a in interview I did with Johnny Damon for you in a little bit...
