Dye cooling off since the All-Star break? I'm not so sure about that...

Just heard someone on the radio mistakenly state that Jermaine Dye has cooled off since the All-Star break, so I just wanted to throw this out there to set the record straight.

I beg to differ...

I don't consider hitting .351 with five home runs and 10 RBIs in 37 at bats since the July 31 trade deadline as "cooling off", which is exactly what Dye has done since the Sox turned away from dealing Wily Mo Pena, Craig Hansen and Justin Masterson or Manny Delcarmen in exchange for the impending free agent and right-handed slugger.

While the Sox aren't quite as offensively-challenged as they've seemed in a handful of their games over the second-half, they could have used production like Dye is putting up.
